Our tax practice revolves around helping our clients effectively manage their tax obligations proactively and responsibly. As part of a global team of 35,000 tax professionals in 150 countries, you will advise clients on planning, compliance and reporting wherever the client has needs. Groups (or, as we call them – sub-service lines) within Tax include Business Tax Services, Global Compliance and Reporting, Human Capital, Indirect Tax Services, International Tax Services and Transaction Tax Services.

Our Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) practice revolves around helping our clients effectively manage their corporate tax compliance, statutory reporting and corporate secretarial obligations proactively and efficiently, becoming their trusted advisor in the process. Due to exciting growth we are looking for a Manager to join our ACR team in Auckland.

**The opportunity**

As a Manager, you will be central to helping companies achieve an efficient and effective statutory reporting function, identify planning and advisory opportunities and implement leading practice corporate governance procedures. You will be instrumental in driving efficiencies by offering leading practice solutions, including implementation of software solutions and robotic automation within our client’s reporting functions, with a focus on interpreting data rather than inputting data.

**Your key responsibilities**

Drawing on your compliance experience, you will help to lead organisations to identify risk areas and to develop planning and structuring ideas. Working with a diverse range of clients, you will provide technical advice on how to manage their compliance obligations and assist them with their accounting calculations and reconciliations. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside a global team, including project management and liaison between clients, their auditors and EY’s speciality tax practice areas.

**Skills and attributes for success**

+ Technical skills in statutory reporting with experience of preparation under different reporting frameworks, principally NZ IFRS

+ Ability to develop strong and broad relationships with clients and provide a high level of client service

+ Ability to work with a number of different clients and internal stakeholders on multiple deadlines

+ Demonstrable experience in management and leadership, utilising strong interpersonal skills in effectively managing a team

**To qualify for the role you must have**

+ Relevant statutory reporting preparation experience, ideally gained in a chartered accounting or corporate environment

+ Strong technical skills, with experience of NZ IFRS

+ Drive to utilise resources to research reporting and legislative obligations

+ Leadership experience within a complex organization
