Branch Development and Support Principal Advisor

Working at the Department of Internal Affairs, you ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders. 

We provide Branch Development & Support within the Information and Knowledge Services branch, the Department s epicentre of information management, culture and heritage. Our branch is all about collecting, storing and preserving important things that are precious to New Zealand.

We are looking for an experienced principal advisor who can:

         Lead initiatives to enhance branch performance, inspire capability uplift for the future, and build staff engagement

         Effectively manage annual branch business planning, including supporting leaders forums to help set clear direction and expectations of performance

         Lead and deliver branch responsibilities for public sector accountability

As a Principal Advisor in the BDS team you ll be taking the lead on system and business improvements and representing the branch at leadership meetings. 

You will need to have successfully completed a tertiary course of study or equivalent relevant experience.
