The National Library of New Zealand sits within the Information and Knowledge Services branch, the Department s epicentre of information management, culture and heritage. Our branch is all about collecting, storing and preserving important things that are precious to New Zealand.

The Service Manager National Library Online will be part of the Team responsible for the development and delivery of a wide range of online services on the natlib.govt.nz website.  This includes working closely with a range of stakeholders to define user stories and with a team of developers to make them happen.  The role will include a focus on delivering combined search on natlib.govt.nz.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team as we develop and enhance a range of services on natlib.govt.nz to make things better for our users.

We are looking for someone with a proven ability to develop and deliver successful online services.  You must be confident in working with range of stakeholders and have demonstrated experience and knowledge of digital product development.  You should have a working knowledge of metadata schemas like Dublin Core and MARC, and some programming logic.  It would also be great if you understand the agile project method.
