Manager Project Delivery – Te Ara Matihiko (Technology Services and Solutions)

  • Delivering business change and project capability
  • Managing a team of project managers and coordinators
  • Improving project practice to deliver on business strategies

Working at the Department of Internal Affairs, you ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of New Zealanders.   Business Change sits within Organisational Capability and Services, a branch dedicated to supporting the rest of the Department to succeed by providing corporate services that help business groups and people within DIA to make the best contribution to New Zealand 

As Manager Project Delivery you will be responsible for managing overall delivery of a portfolio of projects and business change initiatives, lifting professional practice and capability to ensure agile, innovative and responsive ways of working.    You will establish strong relationships with the business that will enable you to translate their needs and expectations into continuous improvement in the quality and effectiveness of project delivery.

Among the skills and experience you will bring are:

  • A proven and successful track record in leading a team in a service-oriented organisation
  • Experience in project management at a senior level, including managing the execution of multiple large-scale projects
  • Broad awareness of a range of technologies and their practical application in supporting business requirements
  • Awareness of Agile and DevOps delivery and ability to build a project practice using these practices
