Are you excited about working in a small team to support the Department in making good decisions through good governance practices?
Have you got senior experience providing support and advice to senior leaders?
The governance team provides stewardship and support of the governance system for the Department and is looking for a Senior Advisor Governance. This role supports the Manager Governance in the delivery of an active governance system. It provides a variety of advisory, secretariat and support functions including compiling agendas and drafting minutes. The role also plays a lead role in reviewing systems, recommending enhancements and implementing continuous improvement.
You ll be part of the Organisational Strategy and Performance Branch; a small branch with a big job. We provide direction, oversight and leadership across Internal Affairs around risk, assurance, project governance, legal services and strategic planning.
To be successful in this role, you will:
Ideally have prior senior experience in providing governance support to boards, committees or senior leadership teams
Have a high standard of written work and an eye for detail
Exercise sound judgement and tact in engaging with a range of stakeholders including the Department s Executive Leadership Team
Have experience building and maintaining strong and effective working relationships
Be comfortable managing competing deadlines and priorities
Be a team player and enjoy collaborating with others to deliver results.
