The Visits and Ceremonial Office (VCO) is a team within Ministerial and Secretariat Services, Information and Knowledge Services, Department of Internal Affairs. We are responsible for organising and managing official visits, ceremonies, and events on behalf of the Government.

Visits and Ceremonial Office is looking for a star administrator to be part of a dynamic team that deliver Guest of Government visits.  The team is also responsible for the delivery of National events such as Anzac Day, State Funerals and annual commemorations.

You will need to demonstrate:

  • a strong background in administration with an exceptional eye for detail
  • the ability to work under pressure
  • strong skills in Microsoft Office and an aptitude to learn new systems quickly

In addition, we are looking for someone who can show initiative, is confident dealing with a wide range of tasks and a team player.

The ability to work autonomously and irregular hours is required for this position. An understanding of official visits and events, and previous experience interacting with foreign dignitaries would be advantageous.
