At the Service Delivery and Operations branch, we are the face of DIA. Whether we re helping to register births, deaths, marriages or charities, or assisting in passport applications, community grants or civil union and name change registrations, we re dedicated to serving the needs of New Zealanders.

This role will support key projects within the branch, providing advice and expertise to project teams, managers and senior leadership. This is a hands on Instructional Design role where you will have the opportunity to be involved in the learning process from needs analysis through to the course delivery you design.

You will work closely with other team members including advisors, facilitators and business SMEs to develop, maintain and deliver learning to meet the changing needs of the branch.

You would be joining us during an exciting time as the branch undergoes a significant transformation in how we serve our customers. This will ensure there is no shortage of assignments and challenging work to be involved in.

Technical training in systems, processes and procedures are the core of our current work. We will also be looking to develop core capabilities in our staff as they start to cross-skill and work more broadly across our products and services. Business Capability utilise a mixture of classroom, online learning, on-job learning and coaching opportunities and are in the early stages of developing virtual classrooms.

You will bring to the role:

  • experience in leading instructional design work
  • sharing innovative ideas and solutions to learning needs
  • an ability to work under pressure to short timeframes in an agile environment
  • a passion for developing and mentoring others, sharing your expertise with colleagues
