Key Responsibilities

The role of the Account Manager (AM) is to drive sustainable growth for BioPak in New Zealand.

The AM role will focus on two key areas:

1. Account Management (70%)

The role will take full responsibility for some of BioPak New Zealand?s key accounts ? distributors/partners and major end customers. Duties include:

  • Top-level, nationwide account management with key stakeholders
  • Maximising sales and growth opportunities in existing accounts
  • Building long-term, mutually beneficial relationships
  • Retention and growth of existing accounts
  • Introduction of new products and services
  • Development of new markets
  • 2. New Business Development (30%)

    The AM will also be expected to develop new business opportunities:

  • New account acquisition is a key driver for growth and a key metric for the success of this role
  • Launching new products and services will be a regular feature of this role, with an exciting pipeline for the foreseeable future
  • Development of new sector and industry opportunities will also be expected
  • Qualities of the right candidate

    We are looking for a driven, ambitious self-starter. While a strong support network is available, the AM will be expected to work on their own initiative and with autonomy, when required.

    Relevant sector/industry experience will be highly regarded, as this role is expected to hit the ground running. Senior-level Sales and Account Management experience is a must.

    A diligent, responsive, and professional attitude is key ? with a ?customer first? mindset. The Account Manager should act as a consultant to customers, in order to develop BioPak as a trusted long-term partner. Building close, lasting relationships with customers is central to the role.

    Other accountabilities include

  • Ensure BioPak?s growth through driving profitable sales revenue.
  • Develop and apply systems and processes to make the sales department more efficient and effective.
  • Respond to inquiries for costings, tenders, and quotes in good time, with the best achievable commercial outcome for BioPak.
  • Assist in establishing growth targets and other KPIs to measure success, reporting to the business on these regularly.
  • Development of best-in-class sales documentation, including presentations, product/service guides, and other supporting documents.
  • Attend new business presentations, sales pitches, events, in order to generate new business opportunities.
  • General client relationship management, customer care, and issue resolution.
  • Build and maintain relationships in key markets, including, but not limited to Coffee, Food and Beverage, QSR, FMCG, Grocery, Hospitality, Healthcare, Government, Events.
  • Develop BioPak?s image, credentials and awareness in the packaging industry, government, and any other relevant channels that could lead to greater commercialisation.
