Reporting to the Team Leader Financial Accounting, we are looking for an experienced Accounting Officer in our Finance team to provide an efficient, accurate and client focused accounts service. To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate, reliable and prompt accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking services across the business. 

To be considered for this role, we are looking for someone who…

  • Is self-motivated, has a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to providing quality service
  • Is willing to take initiatives to learn new FMIS system (Oracle Fusion clouds based) 
  • Has good organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask
  • has excellent attention to detail
  • has sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • has strong numerical and data entry skills
  • has a tertiary qualification/ diploma is required, or equivalent relevant experience
  • can demonstrate efficient MS Excel skills.

To join Te Mana Ārai o Aotearoa in any role you must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident*. Because of the nature of Customs’ work, you must have a clear Police record. Organisational security clearances are mandatory and are conducted by Customs before any job offers are made. You are also required to pass a drug test.
