Do you have well -developed customer service skills?Bring your excellent organisation and administration skillsFixed term role until December 2021We are looking for and administration officer to provide support to the Building Compliance & Consenting Teams here at WCC.The team are part of the wider City Consenting and Compliance team who are helping our customers shape Wellington’s skyline. We need to make sure we continue to improve our customer service while ensuring our officers have the right knowledge and tools by improving processes, training staff and providing business support services.In this role, you will be providing seamless administrations support services to our Building Compliance & Consenting (BCC) team. Your day to day tasks will be varied and includes:Data entry of applications into our systemIssuing of building consents and other applicationsRecording and saving decisions/status’s for building consents and all applications appropriatelyCompleting fee reviews/reconciliationsSending and receiving requests for further information /documentationAnswering incoming calls and assisting customers with their queriesWe are looking for someone who has;Experience in providing quality administration service and support, preferably in a building control environmentExcellent customer service ethicsGreat written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with a diverse group of peopleExperience in developing and maintaining positive and effective working relationshipsProficient in MS Office, and the ability to learn new systems quicklyThis is a full time fixed term role until December 2021.Our ideal candidate is someone who is happy to jump in and help out with any other administration tasks across the teams as and when required. You will be enthusiastic and an excellent team player and have previous experience working within a politically sensitive environment.
