About us

Our Communicable Disease team is within Public Health South, a multidisciplinary team and based at Wakari Hospital.

About the opportunity

Within this role you will be responsible for data entry and quality control for the national Episurv database, and administration duties include management of notifications and case report forms. You will have regular contact with Laboratories, General Practices, and Medical Officers of Health.

You will actively encourage timely completion of case report forms by staff and follow up of notifiable diseases and you should have an interest in public health.

About you

It is paramount to this role that you have the ability to learn and become familiar with a database, using your exceptional eye for detail and high levels of accuracy you will be able to input data correctly. You’ll also need to be highly organised, a forward-planner, have the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, and ideally have experience in working with databases and inputting data. An excellent telephone manner is essential.

The salary for this position is between $35,426 and $40,068 pro rata per annum and will be based on relevant experience and qualifications.
