We are seeking an adaptable, organised and proactive Administration Team Leader to lead a team within the wider Administration Team.In this role you will report directly to the Administration Manager and lead the Administration function across three work sites to provide consistent and efficient processes to support the effective operation of GNS Science.You will routinely interact with other functions across GNS Science, especially property and facilities to ensure that a high standard of administrative support is provided to GNS managers and staff.To be successful in this role we will see your strong track record of Administration leadership and delivery, knowledge of documents management, records management and legislative requirements, customer service, and system and processes improvement.You will have:An excellent customer service ethos.A track record of meeting goals successfully through effectively prioritise and organise work.Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.Excellent problem-solving skills.The ability to manage and drive activity through times of ambiguity.The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with Māori, respecting obligations under Te Tiriti of Waitangi and interacting appropriately with Māori taking into consideration tikanga (customs) and kawa (protocol) experience.You’ll have a calm disposition, with the ability to provide administrative and logistical support during a natural disaster response.Previous experience in working in a government or science-based organisation would be an advantage although not essential.Applicants must have NZ residency, citizenship or a valid NZ Work Visa.About GNS Science:GNS Science, Te Pῡ Ao, is New Zealand’s primary provider of Earth, geoscience and isotope research and consultancy services.
