Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) makes sure New Zealand has accurate information about where people and places are, that people have confidence in their property rights and Crown property is well managed for future generations. Our responsibilities include managing land titles, geodetic and cadastral survey systems, topographic information, hydrographic information, managing Crown property and supporting government decision making around foreign ownership.

Within LINZ, our Strategy and Stewardship (SaS) business group leads the development and execution of our business strategy and oversees stewardship of regulatory systems and our strategic stakeholders and customers – including Maori and iwi.

To support the work our team are doing, we have a 12-month fixed term opportunity available for an Administrative Coordinator to join us.

Drawing from your previous experience in providing comprehensive and efficient coordination support, you’ll be assisting our SaS Leaders to manage their time effectively. With your attention to detail and high level of accuracy, you’ll provide seamless administration support and offer diary management, event coordination, travel booking assistance that is specifically tailored to our Managers individual needs.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have a consistent, proactive, customer focused and engaging approach to your work. You’ll be someone who has demonstrated experience and capability when it comes to forward planning and anticipating your Manager’s needs, prioritising and acting quickly on those needs, when required.

As part of your role, you will have an opportunity to join our LINZ Administration Network so will be able to develop a broad network right across the wider LINZ business.

Some of the key tasks you will be responsible for are:

  • Providing coordination support for key programmes of work across the team
  • Administrative support around travel, purchase orders, expense claims, meetings and events, and registrations for external conferences
  • Assistance with the professional preparation of documentation (presentations, reports, technical documentation), proofreading, and coordination of contract and tender processes as required
  • Assistance with people processes, such as recruitment and induction
  • Monitoring and assisting with the management of deadlines and timeframes
  • Diary management
