Administrator, School of Health and Social Services

Permanent, full-time

We are seeking a proactive and capable person with the relevant skills and experience to provide administrative support to the School of Health and Social Services. The position is primarily based at Porirua, however there may be occasions when the successful candidate will be required to work from the Petone or Wellington campuses.

Role responsibilities include the following:

  • Providing high quality administrative support across the School
  • Proactive management of allocated programmes and portfolios
  • Organising meetings, taking minutes and keeping systems going

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Proven experience in providing flexible and effective support, and working with people in a professional, positive, friendly, and responsive way
  • A high level of competence in use of office computing systems (including word-processing, electronic document management, spreadsheet, email, database and document presentation systems)
  • Highly effective organisational skills, including strong ability to prioritise, problem-solve, show initiative and plan ahead
  • A strong commitment to accuracy and continuous quality improvement in performance.
