About the role

Reporting to the Manager Customer Analytics this position plays a key role not only with our Customer Group but also across the whole of ACC. You’ll be leading the way in developing customer analytics bringing meaning to data using advanced analytics – a good Analyst knows how to turn information into insight!

This is a vital role with a big impact on the business and will see you stand out from the crowd.

You’ll find yourself using your extensive analytical skillsets and will have the following:

  • Proven ability in developing pragmatic solutions to a wide range of business problems and opportunities
  • Extensive and demonstrable data science and analytical skills including complex statistical techniques, data engineering and analytical operationalisation across the end-to-end analytics lifecycle
  • A history of successfully developing analytics solutions to drive customer insights, customer experience, campaign management and injury prevention programmes and strategies.
  • A talent for articulating and communicating the right data story given the business context and tailored for the target audience.
  • An enduring professional curiosity for approaching problems from a range of perspectives and using your keen business acumen to generate actionable insight
  • Be a committed leader of analytics, evangelising the business value and potential of analytics across the organisation

What we’re looking for

An outstanding data scientist who uses business knowledge and advanced statistics to distil complex information into actionable insights.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing and delivering analytics projects along with experience using statistical/analytical software. It is critical you have the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business and are able to build the capability of the team in the use of analytical techniques. Most importantly, you’ll be curious and inquisitive about everything that comes your way and you’ll be able to turn this information into a solution that brings value.
