About this role Provide expert advice on insurer solvency requirements and other prudential policy topicsBring your strong thought leadership, policy and quantitative skills to this senior roleSupport junior team members and assist with their development through coaching and mentoring If you have accounting, actuarial or policy experience with an interest in the insurance and wider financial sectors this could be the perfect role for you.Te Tūranga – The roleIn the position of Adviser in our Financial Policy team you will play a leading role in the review of the insurance solvency standards, this will focus on the introduction of new accounting rules such as IFRS 17 and will make a contribution to the review of the Insurance (Prudential Supervision) Act 2010. There is also scope for the candidate to contribute to and lead prudential policy work in other areas.You will be responsible for contributing to and leading on the development of clear and effective policies that anticipate emerging risks and follow international policy developments. You will also be required to contribute to the maintenance of a regulatory policy framework across the three sectors of banking, insurance and Non-Bank Deposit Takers that is up to date and fit for purpose in an ever-changing local and global landscape.
