We have an exciting fixed term (6-12 months) role for talented, engaging, and constructive individuals. We are looking for an Adviser or Senior Adviser within the Plant Germplasm and the Horticulture Imports Team, in the Plants & Pathways Directorate. The role is responsible for managing the biosecurity risk to New Zealand through the development and review of import standards and requirements for plants for planting and seeds for sowing and fresh fruit and vegetables entering NZ.
In this role you will use your degree in plant pathology, entomology, plant biology (or related discipline) and experience operating in a regulatory environment. You will also be able to demonstrate the practical application of:

This role is based in Wellington and some domestic and international travel may be required.
