We are seeking experienced Advisors and Senior Advisors who will be responsible for engaging with Maori communities to ensure the alignment of identified issues with co-designed solutions. The core component of this role is supporting the development of partnerships and community-led solutions that enhance belonging.

This is a fast-paced role in an outcome focused workplace. We are looking for a broad set of skills within the roles. Functions within this role include:
• providing intellectual subject matter expertise and leadership in development of initiatives to our diverse clients and their whanau
• building successful relationships and working with whanau and communities to find solutions
• influencing and working with others to support and implement support initiatives
• providing high quality analysis, advice and reports for key internal and external stakeholders
• advising senior management and providing high-level support
• building strong community relationships throughout New Zealand
You will also be expected to lead and contribute to work on both internal and cross government priorities.
We are seeking positive individuals, with knowledge, skills and experience in community Development as well as knowledge of Te Ao Maori. To ensure the effectiveness of these roles, travel will be required.
Experience in the development, implementation and delivery of services or programmes is desirable, as well as an ability to be culturally adaptive.
You will need excellent relationship management skills and be able to translate community issues into co-designed solutions that can be understood by multiple audiences. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to develop practical solutions for complex problems with a focus on getting the job done!
A significant part of your role will be building relationships with key government stakeholders, internal ministry staff, community and the NGO sector. This means you are an effective communicator in addition to an excellent relationship manager with a collaborative work ethic and values that align to MSD’s priorities.
