We have an opportunity for an Advisor – Digital Channels to join our team on a fixed-term basis or as part of a secondment arrangement until the end of June 2019. This role sits within the Treasury’s Digital Channels and Design team supporting two central agencies, the Treasury and the DPMC. This is a specialist role focused on managing website content and the commissioning and decommissioning of websites and other channels managed and supported by our IT team. This role would suit a highly skilled web professional who has several years of experience working in a content management role, or similar.

In this role you will:

  • Use your strong relationship skills to develop productive working partnerships with your team, customers, content providers and external vendors who support our websites
  • Gain exposure to a range of content management systems including Drupal, SilverStripe and SharePoint
  • Contribute to the commissioning and decommissioning of websites and channels


An additional key focus of this role is working with the Treasury teams to prepare Budget updates for the Treasury and Budget websites in May 2019.

About You:

  • You will have an sound knowledge of HTML and content management systems and the ability to deliver quality digital content
  • Knowledge of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and ability to mark-up of HTML content for accessibility
  • Good knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro, MS Excel and MS Word.
  • A proactive and self-led style able to operate with autonomy
