The Issues Resolution team forms part of the Deputy Chief Executive’s Office, Service Delivery. We provide support and advice to a wide range of key stakeholders including the Minister’s office, the CE’s Office, Regional Offices, the MSD Communications team and other business units across the organisation.
We work to uphold Service Delivery’s reputation through the visible delivery of robust risks and issues management.
A key part of the Advisor role will involve preparing responses towards the following; Media requests and Ministerial events, Official Information requests, Written Parliamentary questions, Ministerial and Executive Correspondence and on occasion, review of business procedures and practice, to name a few. You therefore will need to have excellent written communication skills as you will be writing on behalf of a range of audiences.
You will work alongside a range of business groups to ensure the correct information is provided and managed, and the right people are briefed. It is essential you are able to establish and maintain effective working relationships as networking and collaboration plays a large part in gaining situational awareness on each business and their needs.
Our ideal candidate will apply sound judgement and initiative to a range of situations, be able to quickly understand an issue and provide advice on how to mitigate or resolve it, as well as identify appropriate escalation points.
You will be open minded and willing to adapt your thinking at a moment’s notice. This is a fast paced role so thinking ahead, being organised and prioritising your work will be important traits to bring.
