About the role

As part of the Communications team you will be responsible for managing media engagement and relations for the KiwiBuild programme.  You will develop and maintain relationships with key media contacts ensuring proactive engagement.  You will contribute to the development and implementation of a communications strategy to support the KiwiBuild programme.  No day will be the same, your advice will be valued whether it be for marketing, Minister’s office, media, social media, website, Stakeholder management, or Ministerial services.


What you will bring

  • Proven experience in media and publications with solid skills in planning and managing publications across a wide range of media outlets
  • Strong capability with design and delivery of written media, external and internal communication material including publications, speeches and presentations
  • Demonstrated experience in controlling, monitoring and evaluating the content of communication products to ensure quality, consistency and accessibility of messages
  • Ability to provide clear and trusted advice to Ministers, officials and/or senior managers
  • Wide ranging knowledge of media, communications and stakeholder engagement disciplines and processes including latest development in communications practices
  • Understanding of Government decision-making and operating procedures.
