Medsafe is the New Zealand Medicines and Medical Devices Safety Authority, and is responsible for the regulation of therapeutic products in New Zealand.
As an Advisor in the Medicines Control branch of Medsafe you will conduct licensing, auditing and drug abuse containment activities, contributing to public safety through regulating and maintaining the integrity of the supply chain of medicines and controlled drugs. You will be expected to contribute to the technical expertise and advice that supports our regulatory activities. You will also be responsible for assessing applications for regulatory instruments for supply chain activities under the Medicines Act 1981, Misues of Drugs Act 1975 and their regulations.
In this role there is a important focus on continuous improvement of processes, tools and frameworks within the group. It is important for you to build collaborative and positive relationships within the Group, the Directorate, the Ministry and with external stakeholders.
In this position you will be able to manage your own workload and work as part of a well-motivated team. Current registration as a pharmacist in New Zealand with an Annual Practising Certificate is essential, with at least five years post-registration experience in pharmacy practice in New Zealand.
