Advisor or Senior Advisor Capability and Culture

The Office of the Auditor-General | Te Mana Arotake(the Office) is focused on significantly enhancing its influence and impact on the public sector to deliver better results for Aotearoa New Zealand. The Office is dedicated to making a difference to the lives of New Zealanders. Over the next few years, we’re expecting to deliver more outputs, and we want our work to have greater impact in the future.

We have an exciting opportunity for a six month fixed term in our People and Capability team. Do you thrive on making a real difference to the employee experience? We’re looking for a self-starting innovator who knows the value of good relationships and can work with the business to identify, develop, and implement capability and culture initiatives that will deliver outstanding results throughout the Office. Coaching and supporting people at all levels in the Office will be second nature to you. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to roll their sleeves up, build solutions themselves, and work with external subject-matter experts to achieve desired outcomes. We are interested in how you and your experience will add to our People and Capability team.

Some of the aspects to be successful in this role are:

  • significant experience in designing, developing, and delivering capability and organisational development initiatives, activities, and programmes;
  • experience in building diversity or cultural capability;
  • strong ability to manage priorities while driving a variety of activities and deadlines with sharp attention to detail and quality;
  • an innovative approach to problem solving; and
  • most importantly, a great sense of humour!

Desired experience:

  • eLearning creation specifically using Articulate software;
  • extensive use of Learning Management systems; and
  • development of leadership capabilities/programmes.
