About the role

As an advisor in our Payroll team you will provide accurate and timely payroll and customer services for all MBIE employees and external customers

In addition you will work as part of a busy team and be able to work to deadlines, have a strong understanding of payroll legislation, and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

This fixed term position reports to the Team Leader Payroll Operations in the People and Culture Group of MBIE. 


Skills and Experience

We are interested to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years payroll experience
  • Proven Payroll administration and processing, in a large complex environment
  • Accurate data entry skills with strong numerical ability
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and processes
  • Strong customer service focus
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management skills
  • Good excel skills an advantage
