We are looking for two highly motivated individuals to join the Crown Entity Monitoring & Appointments team at the Ministry of Health in an Advisory capacity.
The Crown Entity Monitoring & Appointments team sits within the Office of the Director-General directorate of the Ministry. The team has two primary functions: maintaining strategic oversight of the performance of Crown Entities and managing the appointments process for members of Crown Entities, Ministerial Committees, Boards and Councils under the relevant legislation.
Advisors in this team are responsible for providing quality advice and support to the team of Senior Advisors and Principal Advisors, contributing to the delivery of key pieces of work. Your ability to build collaborative and positive relationships within the team and other Ministry staff will assist in your success.
Ideally, we are looking for individuals with tertiary qualifications in a relevant field. You will have agility and the ability to quickly establish priorities and meet deadlines, think ahead, use your initiative and sound judgement, and produce written material to a high standard that will be across different audiences. Knowledge of the machinery of Government will assist you, as will your excellent interpersonal skills.
A key focus of the Advisors will be ensuring the Ministry’s role in overseeing the appointments process to health and disability sector agencies is delivered in a timely, organised and effective manner.
