The team: 

As an Agile Coach you will support the establishment of agile ways of working. The Agile Coach is a servant leader and coaches the agile teams and leadership to adopt and improve their Lean-Agile/SAFe practices and methods.

The role:

The Agile Coach is responsible for influencing the improvement of teams and overall product management by increased collaboration, innovation, and introduction of techniques that provide adaptability and flexibility.
The Agile Coach develops multiple communities of practice, drives alignment of practices and methodology and champions agile ways of working.

Technical skills:

Knowledge of or exposure to a combination of the following:

  • Deep knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe);
  • Prior experience leading teams to deliver value;
  • Prior experience coaching teams to use Scrum or Kanban or other agile methods to continuously improve and become self-organising;
  • Coordination and delivery of role based training eg. Scrum Masters, Product Owners.

Additional skills:

Experience in, or knowledge of:

  • Must have strong agile mind-set;
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills;
  • A customer centric mindset;
  • Strong influencing skills;
  • Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to implement process changes.

  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
