About us We are seeking a highly motivated and empathetic individual to assist our patients through the rehabilitation process. This may be within the inpatient setting at Puāwai or in the community. Puāwai Rehabilitation Unit and CRC offers a holistic interdisciplinary approach to rehabilitation that focuses on what is important to our patients and whanau. Puāwai Rehabilitation Unit and CRC assists with rehabilitation and plans for a range of patients, focusing on diagnoses such as strokes, neurological conditions, Brain injury, multi-trauma and orthopaedic injuries, and reconditioning following medical and surgical illnesses. Our Allied Health Assistants work closely alongside other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide a supported transition back to the community. About you As someone with strong interpersonal skills, you will have no trouble communicating and interacting with a diverse range of staff and patients. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: Have excellent communication skills A flexible and positive approach to work Previous experience in a healthcare setting and/or a relevant NZQA Level 3 qualification or equivalent A strong patient focus, including the ability to support patients’ cultural needs and preferences A demonstrated ability to work under the direction and delegation of others If you think you would be a great fit to our team, we would love to hear from you!
