This role will see you working closely with advanced analytical tools and techniques to protect national security and New Zealanders safety. You will have the opportunity to work on unique datasets and develop novel ways to exploit and integrate these to deliver and train new methods of use and insight.
You will be working within a capable and cross functional team, developing new systems and ways of working so that we work smarter not harder. We collaborate with internal and external partners to help develop the NZSIS as an information and intelligence leader, ensuring we are up to date with both public and classified technology trends.
We are seeking a self starter who demonstrates creativity, pragmatism and initiative; a person with genuine ability to identify workable solutions to difficult issues. As someone with a high degree of business analysis competence, you will be experienced in gathering requirements, scoping solution options and collaborating with a technical team to deliver results. To complement this, you will bring experience in system and business process improvement and the delivery of training and workshops.
This role can be based in Auckland or Wellington.

To be eligible for employment within the NZIC you must have been a NZ citizen for at least 10 years. Alternatively you must hold a current NZ Residency Class Visa and ideally have been a citizen of UK, USA, Canada or Australia for at least 10 years.
You must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special (TSS) security clearance. Ordinarily to obtain this level of clearance candidates must have a 15 year checkable background in countries where meaningful and reliable checks can be undertaken. Where requisite checks are unable to be made, the candidate application may not be able to be progressed.
