The opportunity & responsibilities We are currently seeking an Area Manager for our Out of Home Team based in NZ looking after the Lower South Island. As the Area Manager, you will be responsible to deliver the annual sales & execution plan of the OOH route business. This role is 100% remote from our Auckland Head Office, so you will need to be self-disciplined and have excellent planning and organisation skills as well as being comfortable with regular overnight trips per month to service remote customers. This opportunity will suit an individual that is happy to get into the detail to continue to drive high performance and comes with considerable business acumen. You will gain valuable experience working with Unilever but that’s not all, not only is this role working in the exciting world of Ice Cream, did we mention that you will also be able to partake in the current 4-day week work trial in NZ? Role Summary Acquiring New Business Creating better stores through improved execution in store and joint business planning to drive sales growth for both the customer & Unilever Implementing branch/distributors business plans in the region to deliver sales & execution targets, net customer gains across Streets and Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream, call cycles & speed to market. Maintaining branch/distributor contact/plans in the region to deliver sales & execution targets, net customer gains Owning Special events in the region & ensuring Streets have the correct level of investment, involvement & visibility Driving personal KPI’s including Perfect Store execution standards across existing customers while driving a new business acquisition agenda. You will bring You will come bring a minimum of 2-3 years FMCG or sales experience (route/out of home experience is an advantage) Sharp selling & negotiation skills including customer management/key account experience You will be strong in your ability to develop Customer Relationships as well as identifying new business opportunities. Time Management and planning Previous experience managing a team or influencing other to deliver.
