What you will be doing

We are currently looking for a sharp, commercially savvy Assistant Accountant to join our busy Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you will maintain and continually improve financial reporting results, processes and general ledger integrity. Work with the finance team and business to operate, maintain and improve key financial and statutory reporting, systems and controls. On balance the substantial work of this role is to deliver and continually improve your technical skills with respect to financial accounting and business support.

  •  Assist with the completion of monthly business reporting, forecasting and budgeting
  •  Liaise and partner with corporate cost centres, to deliver results and discuss financial matters
  •  Loading and maintaining our leased assets system for supply and service agreements
  •  Assist with internal audits, maintain and review key internal controls, and ensure timely closure of outstanding issues
  • What you will bring to the role

    To be successful in this role you will be a results-driven, tertiary qualified and a CA or CPA Qualified Accountant (or working towards qualification) with excellent technical accounting skills. You will thrive in a team environment, and have the following key skills and experience;

  •  Experience with ERP systems
  •  Excellent spreadsheet skills
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  •  Be able to work autonomously to deadlines
  • Along with the above, it’s a real bonus if you have SAP and HFM reporting experience, and experience in a manufacturing environment.
