What you will do

As the Assistant Equipment Manager – Operational IT Hardware, within the Defence Equipment Management Organisation (DEMO), you will be responsible for delivering quality, timely and cost effective through-life-support management to the Command, Control and Computers equipment dependency in order to sustain NZDF capability.

You’ll work closely with, and support, the Equipment Manager: Command, Control & Computers in providing the day-to-day equipment management functions required to logistically manage the equipment, which includes but isn’t limited to; ruggedized laptops, tablets, power supplies, switches and servers.

What we need

Your experience and understanding of equipment management, ideally with hardware and software, and your experience in a logistics environment and familiarity with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) concepts and practices.  

In order to be successful in this role you’ll have knowledge of:

  • Current military computer hardware and software;
  • ITIL information management principles;
  • Software licensing in a multi-user environment.

Strong relationship building and communication skills with the ability to relate to a wide range of people is vital to your success in this role.

Who we are

The Defence Equipment Management Organisation (DEMO) provides a single point of accountability for the through-life management of specified equipment across Land, Air and Maritime environments thereby ensuring that all equipment receives constant strategic logistic support whilst in service with the NZDF.

This organisation will be accountable for the day to day delivery of through life Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and management of equipment enabling NZDF to meet its business and operational objectives to the appropriate standards.
