An opportunity exists for a fixed-term appointment of an Assistant Lecturer to support research and the delivery of Professional Development courses in the area of Sustainable Nutrient Management in NZ Agriculture. You will have an Agricultural/ Soil Science qualification, studied Soil Science to at least the 300 level and a Masters degree in Soil Science. You will be familiar with the OVERSEER Ò Nutrient Budgeting software, have experience of the nutrient requirements of pasture and arable crops, and an understanding of the effect of nutrient management strategies on the environment. You will also have a good knowledge of dairy systems.
Working within a very active research group there is an expectation that you have qualifications and experience that will enable you to embark on a PhD in the area of ‘Sustainable Agricultural Systems’.
