  • About the role We have an exciting opportunity for Automation Test Engineer to join Enterprise Delivery – Contact Centre technology team. Customer Contact Solutions is an exciting opportunity to work with a broad range of internal, 3rd party and external stakeholders to create new customer propositions and capabilities. You will work in customer centric and collaborative team, working with a range of business and technical stakeholders to deliver outcomes and value for our customers. In this role you will have the opportunity to;

  • Showcase your thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional testing
  • Contribute and/or lead the testing effort for a cross functional team
  • Utilise your experience in testing voice and non voice customer contact solution, Speech, Voice Biometrics, web and back-end services
  • Manage manual testing processes for applications with low levels of automated coverage and work effectively to raise levels of test automation
  • Work cross functionally as required within the tribe and champion the quality of deliverables
  • Demonstrate your strong written and verbal communication skills and to understand and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Role Type: Permanent Full Time Location : Auckland or Wellington Hours: Standard business hours with flexible work option available About you First up, you will be a communicator. You will be spending your day working alongside developers, testers, BA’s and product owners and you need to be able to communicate complex technical issues and be good at asking hard questions at the right time (and the wrong time). You’ll be working in small teams where collaboration and relationship building is key. We are interested in people who enjoy a dynamic, rapidly changing environment, who don’t get attached to a particular technology or practice and more importantly, want to drive change in the organisation. This role will suit a highly experienced Automation Tester who has the following essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years software testing experience with 2-3 years in Test Automation
  • Proven working experience with a variety of tools that support test automation (e.g. Voice Automation (e.g. Cyara), Cypress, Selenium, Mocks, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Proficiency in coding with at least one programming language (e.g. Java, JS, Groovy etc.)
  • Explore and identify tools which would raise levels of Test Automation
  • API Testing Experience (RestAssured, Postman)
  • Experience using source control tools Git and Bitbucket
  • Knowledge and experience in SQL scripting
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional testing (especially Exploratory testing)
  • Working knowledge in DevOps practices – continuous integration & delivery
  • An agile and open mindset, able to consider new ideas and approaches to complex situations
  • Experience working in an agile environment (ideally Scrum)
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-managing and a self-starter
  • The following experience is advantageous:

  • Previous experience in Banking and/or Contact Centre Domains
  • Experience in Monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Splunk)
  • Experience of working with Microservices, Web Services
  • ISTQB Foundation certification
  • UI testing of voice and web applications
  • Test automation using a scripting language
  • Testing in continuous integration environments
  • Setup and management of test data and environments
