This role is part of our Customer Design team, who are part of our Corporate Support Group, which supplies key specialist functions, enabling the Transport Agency to run efficiently and to achieve organisational excellence internally and for the land transport system. These include finance, procurement, risk, programme management, research and analytics. Customer Design supports the organisation to deliver improved outcomes for our customers through application of human-centred design best practices.
The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi
The purpose of this role is to advise and support application of the behavioural sciences to deliver outcomes aligned to Transport Agency strategy. The focus of this role is to advise projects to effectively research, design and monitor for human behaviour. It will also create and document knowledge about human behaviour in transport that will help the Transport Agency deliver outcomes more effectively over time.
This is an opportunity to use your background in applied psychology, human factors or related behavioural sciences to help improve road safety, promote healthy and sustainable transport choices, develop new and innovative technologies, and to improve compliance with regulation. You will work collaboratively with project leads and external stakeholders to understand what they are trying to achieve and how to get there. You will take a supporting role in creating, building and documenting knowledge that will help the Transport Agency deliver outcomes more effectively over time.
You will have experience applying your skills in a business context and a track record of developing interventions that impact end user behaviour. We are building capability in this field, so we’re keen to help further develop people working in this exciting space – now is a great time to join us.
