The roleAs the Auckland region continues to grow and new projects are awarded on a weekly basis. We are now in the fortunate position to further grow and develop our BIM capabilities. We are currently recruiting for a BIM Manager to join our Auckland team and become part of the Hawkins Family.This role will interact with various stakeholders within the business and work closely with Hawkins Project Leads and Design Managers onsite. You will draw on your specialist skills in the areas of model authoring and model federation using the Autodesk suite of tools including Revit and Navisworks.As a key member of our team you will work alongside some of New Zealand’s most knowledgeable construction professionals.We are looking forAn individual that has strong design management experience with a keen interest in using, and developing the use of, technology within the construction industry, as well as someone who is looking for a long term career with our Auckland team and Hawkins as a whole.Key skills/attributes required: Ability to collaborate with and coordinate digital design information with project stakeholdersProficient in the use of design and construction software including Revit, Navisworks, Sketchup, and others to effect the roleDrive and desire to learn new skillsPromote technology use within the business including coaching and communicating BIM skills to others within the region/GroupRelationship and individual task management experienceRelevant tertiary qualification3-5 years working within a construction design coordination environment with experience using design suite softwareProfessional communication and presentation skillsExcellent written communication skills and proven report writing abilityAbility to work under pressure and to strict deadlines will require flexibility to get the job doneFlexibility to change scope of role from project to project In this role, you will have a range of responsibilities, variety in your day and you’ll be working on some of the most exciting projects within the Auckland region.
