About the role:
The purpose of the Business Analyst role is to provide quality assurance and operational performance advice to key stakeholders within the National Youth Justice Team. You will drive the introduction and embedding of processes to collect, analyse and report on data and information which will support progression towards a culture of continuous improvement to reduce offending.
In this newly created role continual development, forecasting and providing risk awareness is key to relevant managers so would suit a Business Analyst with business operational experience.


Skills and experience: 

  • Knowledge of the Oranga Tamariki act and Care Services would be ideal
  • Key understanding of Youth Justice and why youth offend
  • Ability to identify areas of risk and provide solutions for improvement
  • Experience with projects and project methodologies and the ability to address and resolve key challenges
  • Excellent report writing, data analysis, data collection and sampling skills
  • A good communicator who can interpret complex data and feed it back in a clear manner
  • Interest in monitoring and evaluating the quality of practices and services
  • Ability to implement systems for recording and reporting key information
