About the role: Are you looking for a challenge as a senior business analyst who can manage and coordinate the rest of the BA group? You will probably wish to continue your BA skills by assisting junior team members and helping embed BABOK, but maybe with a desire to move into management. You will be expected to roll up your sleeves and deliver while working on some of the more interesting projects going on in Hamilton, as well as manage and coordinate the rest of the Business Analysts. About you: Qualifications Essential: You will hold a minimum of a bachelor’s level or diploma qualification in Information Management, Computer Studies, and/ or equivalent relevant experience working with large enterprise computer systems. ITIL certification or practical experience of ITIL practices in an IS organisation. UML Modelling capability or BPMN. Desirable Project Management qualification. Formal business systems analysis training. Experience and knowledge Essential At least 5 years’ experience in a business analyst role and/or working with large enterprise computer systems. 1-2 years’ experience leading a team / coordination role or at senior business analyst level. Business process knowledge related to the use of applications. Proven experience in business systems analysis, technical writing and presenting to users. Knowledge of and practical experience in maintaining SDLC and ITIL based disciplines – change management, release management, etc. Desirable Experience in working in large applications in the workplace. Good appreciation of project planning and management. Experience in a health care environment. Experience with business analysis methodologies. A sound knowledge of system development life cycle concepts. Knowledge of the system development lifecycle and support functions required by a large and complex organisation. Skills Excellent written, oral and presentation skills. Ability to identify and understand customer needs by building effective relationships to meet customer expectations. Ability to write and interpret functional specifications and non-functional/technical specifications. A passion for software development to meet business objectives.
