In this fixed-term full-time position based in Palmerston North, you will be part of a busy professional team supporting the University user community. You will be responsible for understanding and defining Massey University user requirements and business processes by liaising with teams throughout the University and our software vendors; and you will translate these business needs into best-practice system or process solutions. Your work will make a big difference in maintaining enterprise systems as you will also be identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
Your tertiary qualification in a relevant field will be supplemented by your proven experience using business analysis tools and techniques and in analysing complex systems and processes.
Complex issues and conflicting demands don’t overwhelm you – you always find practical solutions for them. You will need to have proven interpersonal skills to develop relationships and communicate software complexities in a simple yet persuasive manner.
Attention to detail, the ability to reason logically and creatively, and sound problem-solving skills are key components of this role. An understanding of IT methodologies would also be useful.
