The purpose of the role:

Stats NZ are looking for an experienced BA to join the Geospatial team in Christchurch. Your first assignment will be to work with design analysts in the team to map a number of geospatial data flows and business processes. Following this, you will be required to work with other teams across Stats NZ (e.g. Census) to gather their geospatial requirements and document clear user guides/support material for our geospatial tools/systems.

Key to the success of this role is the ability to:

  • Build relationships that enable you to work with people at all levels across the organisation
  • Learn quickly on the job
  • Develop business process and data flow maps
  • Create clear user documentation and training/support material
  • Facilitate and lead workshops to elicit business requirements

The following experience is desirable:

  • Geospatial knowledge/background (not essential)
  • 3-5 years experience as a Business Analyst
