Our Business Support Coordinator’s are assigned a specific group of Managers and their teams to support, which requires you to proactively deliver expert advice and assistance.  At the Ministry of Transport, we are interested in great thinking, bold ideas and new approaches. The role

Our Business Support Coordinator roles sit within the Ministry’s Business Support Team, which provides a range of high quality and professional support services to the Ministry, including office administration and facilities management.

These is a busy role that oversee a range of administrative tasks while providing hands – on support to customers. You will be pro-active and anticipate customer’s current and future needs and issues by “owning your space” and finding effective and proactive solutions to address those needs. By building those integral relationships with your stake holders, they will feel understood and supported. With your previous experience in a coordinator or administration support role you will take a continuous improvement and customer focused approach to your work.

About you

We are looking for applicants who have a solid work history in a coordinator or administrative support role, who can hit the ground running in this busy and dynamic environment. You will be able to demonstrate excellent administrative skills while working in a consistent, organised and timely manner. It goes without saying that you’ll have fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent data entry skills, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business and with a wide variety of customers. You will be the first point of contact for customers so a professional, friendly, patient approach coupled with keeping calm under pressure is a must.

Alongside your excellent time management skills, you will be exceptionally motivated, resilient, and display a high level of personal initiative. Your time management and organisational ability are critical together with advanced MS Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
