National Operations has responsibility for the provision of advice and support functions for frontline staff in prisons and the community, including delivery of a 24/7 monitoring function for electronically monitored offenders and defendants.

The Business Support Manager in the National Operations team will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the practice, continuous improvement, quality assurance and performance measurement for the team.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Leading continuous improvement activities including quality assurance, performance measurement and reporting, in order to strengthen the delivery of services in National Operations
  • Providing oversight, coaching and mentoring support to Practice Leaders and Trainers
  • Supporting the Manager National Operations, providing strategic advice and guidance and leading or undertaking specific projects
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Facilitating workshops to ensure effective consultation and communication with various staff members and stakeholders

Our ideal candidate will have experience of developing systems and processes to enable teams to deliver a quality service in a fast paced / high volume working environment (such as a call or contact centre)

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Sound working knowledge of a broad range of processes in relation to the operation of the public sector
  • Proven experience and knowledge of effective frameworks, systems and processes within an area governed by clear legislative requirements
  • Strong ability to problem solve and manage stakeholder relationships

It is important to note that you will be required to work across both Upper Hutt and Wellington CBD sites (however you will be primarily based in Upper Hutt).
