So, that’s a little bit about what we do, now to ‘what will you be doing with us?’
We are looking for an enthusiastic Café Cook to work at our Auckland Hospital sites. Hours of work are part time with a minimum of 20 hours per week, rostered across Monday to Friday.
In this position you will be responsible for preparing and cooking of the meals for the staff cafeteria, this includes vegetarian and vegan meals, along with salads and excellent sandwich and roll production. You will be using fresh and seasonal produce each day, following recipes, being creative and using your flair and imagination! In addition to this you will be assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.
If you’re our perfect candidate you will be a team player, passionate about food and have excellent time management skills. You will have outstanding customer service and be flexible, with a friendly outgoing personality and a ‘can do’ attitude. Having the ability to work proactively both independently and as part of a team is essential, as is a minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook/Chef. Ideally you will have previous experience working in a café environment and hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167). You will be a pro at Health & Safety, but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.
