The Department of Corrections Health Services is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and committed individual who is capable of working in a wide range of Health Care activities based at Rimutaka Prison, HDU facility in Wellington for prisoners who have ongoing complex health and/or disability needs.

This is an opportunity for a Health Care Assistant with experience in health care and is interested in being part of an innovative new service.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working with patients who have complex health and/or disability needs.
  • Recent experience as a Health Care Assistant
  • The ability to work collaboratively and under instruction
  • A non-judgemental approach
  • A Full New Zealand driver licence
  • Be eligible to work in New Zealand
