    We are now seeking a Category Analyst for our FMCG team in our Ponsonby office. This is a new role for our business, and we will be looking to you to take the lead in all Category Analysis for our FMCG group.

    This position will report into our FMCG Sales and Marketing Manager and will be responsible for ensuring we are making the best category management decisions. This will mean working closely with the whole FMCG team, including our Marketing Managers, Brand Assistant and the FMCG Sales and Marketing Manager.

    The key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Completing monthly market share reviews
  • Monitoring sales and competitor activity
  • Helping to guide promotional strategy and monitor effectiveness
  • Providing key category insights and assist Marketing Managers in consumer trends
  • Assisting Sales Manager in annual Category plans
  • Category reviews and New Product presentations
  • Forecasting and demand management
  • Assisting both the Sales and Marketing Managers on the go-to-market execution plans
  • To be considered for this opportunity, we are seeking applicants who are interested in taking the lead with this new role and will have:

  • A tertiary level qualification in commerce or similar
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Analyst role, preferably within FMCG
  • Experience in Aztec / AC Nielsen scan data tools
  • Advanced excel skills (preferably)
