About the Role:
Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
Prepares and supervises daily mise en place and ensures that all sections are supplied with fresh and high quality products based on anticipated business levels.
Ensures consistent supply of quality products and correct quantities to all food outlets within the hotel.
Assists to prepare and post weekly work schedules, making sure that they reflect business needs and other key performance indicators.
Secure and promote the health, safety and welfare of employees at Park Hyatt Sydney, within the kitchen and the hotel in general.
Completion of Pastry Chef Apprenticeship or equivalent
Good Hygiene Knowledge
Effective trainer, experienced in the delivery of skills training
Safe and accurate knife skills
Good baking skills
Knowledge and experience in a variety of different cooking methods
2 years work experience as Demi Pastry Chef in a hotel or restaurant with good standards
