Fire and Emergency New Zealand are seeking a Chief Advisor Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) reporting through to the DCE, People, this role will participate as a member of the newly established People Branch Leadership team and will contribute to the ongoing development and effectiveness of the Branch. This includes contributing to the overall leadership of the People Branch; participating in the development of Branch strategies, long and short-term priorities and working with peers to invest in the engagement, wellbeing and performance of Branch staff and teams.
The Chief Advisor Safety, Health and Wellbeing ensures that a SHW perspective is taken across all people groups, functions and activities at a strategic level. They provide leadership and a sound depth of subject matter expertise in relation to SHW legislation, trends and best practice and support the People Branch to deliver SHW strategies and initiatives across the organisation. The Chief Advisor will also be called on to provide strategic advice and support to members of the Executive Leadership team and the Board regarding wider organisational strategies that require a safety, health and wellbeing perspective.
