About the opportunity
Reporting to the Managing Director and indirectly to the Board, the role of the COO will constantly evolve. With an initial focus on enhancing and optimising overall business performance; the role of the COO will concentrate on reviewing support and operational functions then defining and successfully implementing initiatives to achieve these enhancement objectives. Alongside this, the COO will:
As the role evolves, the COO will take on additional operational leadership accountability and will provide more support to the MD in the running of total Group operations. This role needs a true leader with agility in approach, strength in commercial and strategic thinking and the motivation to leap into this evolving role that could take you to the top of this well-established and successful organisation. To be successful in this role, you will have extensive executive leadership experience, ideally within a service industry but not expressly in tourism and hospitality. You will bring with you a seasoned and confident executive style, a strong commercial and strategic thinking expertise and a willingness to get things done.
Proven operational leadership capability coupled with a strong understanding of business performance drivers; you are a strong problem solver and you will thrive when given accountability to achieve objectives and enhance performance.
