**About the opportunity**

Our Transport group employs more than 8,000 professionals who support clients with innovative solutions to efficiently move people and goods across the globe. We focus our efforts in Aviation, Bridge, Highway, Ports & Maritime, Planning Services, Transit & Rail and Tunnels.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Wellington Transport Infrastructure Team. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your sound technical skills whilst working in an engaging and collaborative team. Reporting to our Infrastructure Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in design and delivery of a wide range of Civil engineering elements for Transport Infrastructure and general Civil Engineering projects.

You will be expected to provide innovative designs across multi-disciplinary projects that will enable us to deliver value for money design solutions to our clients.

**About you**

Skills and requirements for the role:

+ Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Washington accord accredited programme)

+ Chartered or close to CPEng registration in New Zealand

+ Intermediate level experience

+ Able to perform design calculations, design development and drawing

+ Previous experience with the preparation of design documents, drawings, technical reports, scopes of work, specifications, project definition and design criteria documents

+ Current knowledge of New Zealand design codes, relevant acts and legislation

+ Ideally be Wellington-based
