Doyou have a belief that nursing plays an essential role within inpatienttreatment? The Regional Rangatahi Adolescent Inpatient Service is seeking anexperienced, passionate nurse to lead the day to day care and coordination ofour service.

The Rangatahi inpatient service based at Kenepuru Hospital is partof the Mental Health, Addictions and Intellectual Disability Service 3DHB andprovides services to the Central Region DHBs from Tairawhati, through Hawke’sBay, Whanganui, Mid-central, Wairarapa, down to the Hutt and Capital &Coast.

RRAISis a 12 bed bicultural service and has belief that “The Village” or therapeuticspace is central to the treatment approach. The post requires specialist skillsand knowledge that are demanded within an adolescent inpatient setting. Youneed to have an advanced understanding of adolescent mental health nursingtogether with expert awareness of the dynamics and treatment opportunities aninpatient setting can bring.

Duties

  • Day to day clinical coordination of the unit.
  • Liaison with local and regional services.
  • Maintaining high quality of day to day nursingpractice.
  • Delegation of duties to nursing and support staff.
  • Skills & Experience

  • Passionate about nursing.
  • Previous experience working within the CAMHS sector.
  • NZCAAPC scope of practice for Mental Health or Paediatric Nursing.
  • Ableto bring your skills to an inpatient setting.
  • Motivated,thoughtful and professional.
