Nelson Marlborough Health (NMH) is the main health service provider for New Zealand’s Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough regions, serving over 150,000 people across two main hospitals, public health and a range of community services.

Our Needs Assessment team works with people with either an intellectual, physical or sensory disability. Together we help identify their individual challenges, goals, and steps needed to achieve these goals, through assessment and service coordination.

Ngā mōhiohio e pā hānga ki tēnei mahi (Info about this position)

You will work with our team based in Blenheim and will have close working relationships with Wairau Hospital, other health agencies, community services and Iwi/Maori health providers.

This position has a specific component to act as a Māori liaison – promoting better understanding between the Needs Assessment Service, Kaumatua, Iwi and Māori Health providers.

We will value your commitment and experience in working with people and their families and whanau to ensure that their needs are at the centre of their care.

This is a permanent, full-time position working 80 hours a fortnight (1.0FTE).

You will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual, ideally with experience working with individuals with health related disabilities. You will also be a registered health professional and hold a full driver’s licence. Having an established understanding and network of our local Māori communities would be an asset.
